Visiting Cutler Bay - or as I remember it - Cutler Ridge for my 35th high school reunion, I had the chance to visit an old haunt - the House of Bagels & Bialys in Palmetto Bay. This was my first time visiting since the early '90's.

Quick, simple, and easy - I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, along with coffee and a dozen bagels for the road. The sandwich and coffee came as a "special" and the bagels were $12.99 a dozen. Plain, rye, egg, pumpernickel, and cinnamon raisin were among my choices.

Service was friendly and polite, service a bit on the slow side. Sandwich, coffee and bagels were great - no issues whatsoever. Shopping center parking was a bit tight.

Love the bad service! It's iconic. Definitely coming back just for the attitude! This reminds me of an authentic New York style bagel place! People need to stop being so sensitive. GROW UP! Bagels were alright nothing spectacular.

I have been coming here for years and it has always been great! Wow, but lately it has just gone downhill though. The lady behind the counter is completely rude, she does not speak just swipes your card and it makes it very awkward then proceeds to walk away and hit her vape. They charge a fee for not paying with cash. (who pays with cash these days?) Food is good but there are other great bagel places in the area that offer a much better customer experience. Have to give this a single star, service was just that bad.

Service is slow and not overly friendly, even though I was the only customer. I ordered a BLT on a whole wheat bagel and a bottled drink, all for about ten bucks. There is a sign on the cash register that you get a 60 cent discount for paying with cash, but I got no such discount. The sandwich was made quickly and was fine. I should have chosen toast instead of a bagel, as toasted bread is better than a bagel for a BLT, but that is my fault. There are a handful of bar stools at a counter inside and several tables outside. Everything was a bit disheveled and none of the tables had been cleaned. All in all, probably the kind of place where next time I would simply grab a bagel and coffee to go.

This is one of the best breakfast places to come to around this area! I've been coming here for years and I never get disappointed. They are fast and have delicious food! Also inexpensive.
